One day wine tours
Chianti Wine Tour
If everyone is on time you will stop at Piazzale Michelangelo to take photos of a spectacular view of Florence. If on the other hand you are running late, the stop to take picture of the spectacular view of Florence will be on the way back. Then off to visit the 1st winery and to do some tastings after you will head towards a little Chianti village that you will be able to visit and will have a light lunch. After lunch you will visit the 2nd winery. From there you will head back to your pick up spot in Florence and should be back between 5/5:30pm. We never give an exact time as it depends on many factors. Please bear in mind that the area, geographically speaking, is not big but it does take time to get from one place to the other. We prefer visiting 2 wineries as it gives you the chance to spend more time to get to know better the winery and to taste the wines. Italians are known to be talkers and love telling you everything about their products but also about themselves.
Montalcino Wine Tour
You will be heading directly to the 1st winery in Montalcino the journey will take about 1:45 minutes depending on traffic. After visiting and tasting the wines off for a light lunch to recharge for the 2nd winery in the afternoon. Before heading back home you will be able to do a quick visit of Montalcino. Back in meeting point Florence at about 6:30/7pm.
San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Tour
This tour is recommended for those that wish to visit San Gimgnano and would like to do some shopping. You will go directly to the village of towers where tea with Mussolini was filmed. The guide will drop you off at one of the main gates of the village and while you have a first glance she or he will go park the car. You will then meet again and the guide will show you the main areas of the village. You will then have time on your own to go shopping. Meeting again for lunch at a small family run farm where they cultivate saffron. Afternoon will be dedicated to visit a winery in the chianti area then off to Florence with a quick stop to see the view of Florence and back at meeting point at about 6pm.
Pick up is in Piazza Cavaleggeri Florence unless organised otherwise
The schedule can change depending on availabilities. The time given for arrival back into Florence is approximate as it can be influenced by traffic bad weather etc. Please bear in mind that the area, geographically speaking, is not big but it does take time to get from one place to the other. We prefer visiting 2 wineries as it gives you the chance to spend more time to know better the winery and to taste the wines. Italians are known to be talkers and love telling you everything about themselves
